I recorded a meeting tab in Chrome and the transcript is empty or silent
When Chrome asks what to share, pick the Tab pane, select your meeting tab, and turn on the "Share tab audio" toggle at the bottom of the dialog. Without that toggle, Chrome shares the tab’s picture but not its sound.
I recorded Zoom or Teams (a desktop app) and got no audio
In the share picker, switch from Entire Screen to the Window pane and select the meeting app’s window. On some setups a full-screen capture misses app audio that a window capture picks up.
macOS blocked SeaMeet from recording
Open System Settings → Privacy & Security → Screen Recording (and Microphone), enable SeaMeet, then quit and reopen the app — macOS applies the permission only after a restart. To capture system audio, allow the audio driver when SeaMeet first asks.
Can I capture tab audio in Safari?
No. Safari does not let web recorders capture a tab’s audio. Use Chrome, or record with the desktop app, for meetings that run in a browser tab.
Where are my files?
SeaMeet is local-first: recordings and transcripts are saved on your machine in the .seameet folder (its location is shown in the app’s Settings) and never leave it without your approval. With Sync Pro they also sync to your library at app.seameet.ai.
