SeaMeet (“SeaMeet”, “we”, “our”, “us”) is a product of Seasalt.ai, Inc. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect information when you use:
- The SeaMeet Desktop App for Windows and macOS
- The SeaMeet Cloud Service
- The SeaMeet.ai website
We are committed to transparency and to giving users full control over their data.
1. SeaMeet Desktop App (Windows/macOS)
SeaMeet Desktop is designed to run locally on your device.
When you record audio, video, or your screen using the desktop app:
We do NOT collect or receive:
- Audio recordings
- Video recordings
- Screen content
- Meeting metadata
- Personal files
- Contacts or identities
All recordings remain on your device only, unless you explicitly choose to upload them to SeaMeet Cloud.
We do NOT transmit usage data by default.
Optional: Anonymous User Experience Improvement Program
You may voluntarily opt in to share anonymous technical diagnostics to help improve SeaMeet.
If you opt in, we may collect:
- App version
- OS version
- Device type
- Performance metrics (CPU spikes, dropped frames, encoder stalls)
- Feature usage counts
- Crash logs and error reports
We NEVER collect through this program:
- Audio or video content
- Screen content
- Meeting content
- Personal files
- User identities
You may opt out at any time in Settings → Privacy & Data.
2. SeaMeet Cloud Service
SeaMeet Cloud is an optional service that allows users to record meetings, store audio, and generate transcripts or summaries.
When you use SeaMeet Cloud, we may collect:
A. Meeting Content (only when you choose to upload or record via cloud):
- Audio recordings
- Transcriptions
- Meeting titles, timestamps, and metadata
B. Account Information
- Name
- Email address
- Organization (if applicable)
- Authentication credentials (hashed)
C. Usage Information
- Cloud recording activity
- Device/browser type
- IP address (for security and abuse prevention)
D. Third‑Party Integrations (optional)
If you connect SeaMeet Cloud to services such as Google Drive or calendar systems, we may process:
- File export data
- Calendar event metadata
- OAuth tokens (securely stored and revocable at any time)
We adhere to all applicable platform policies, including Google API Services User Data Policy.
3. How We Use the Information
We use collected data to:
- Provide and maintain SeaMeet Cloud services
- Generate transcripts, summaries, and meeting insights
- Improve product performance and reliability
- Respond to support requests
- Secure our systems and prevent abuse
We do not sell personal data.
4. How We Protect Your Information
We use industry-standard security measures including:
- Encrypted transmission (HTTPS/TLS)
- Encrypted storage for cloud recordings
- Access controls and audit logs
- Limited employee access on a need-to-know basis
Recordings stored in SeaMeet Cloud are encrypted at rest.
5. Data Retention & Deletion
- Desktop recordings remain on your device until you delete them.
- Cloud recordings are retained until you delete them or your account is closed.
- You may request deletion of all cloud data by emailing info@seasalt.ai.
- We process valid deletion requests within a reasonable timeframe.
6. Cookies & Website Analytics
SeaMeet.ai may use cookies for basic site functionality and aggregated analytics.
You may disable cookies in your browser settings.
7. Children’s Privacy
SeaMeet is not intended for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect data from them.
8. Third‑Party Services
SeaMeet Cloud may use trusted third-party providers for:
- Cloud storage
- Speech processing
- Authentication
- Analytics (anonymous and aggregated only)
These providers access data only as needed to perform their services.
9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy periodically. Updates will be posted on SeaMeet.ai with a revised “Last Updated” date.
