Managing Recordings
Browse, play back, and import your recordings. Sidebar library, the Media Library view, playback features, and file imports.
Managing Your Recordings
Once you've created recordings, you need to organize, find, and use them effectively. This section covers everything about managing your recording library — both the always-visible sidebar list and the dedicated Media Library view.
What's Covered
- Your Recording Library — The sidebar list with fuzzy search, rename, star, and delete
- Media Library — The dedicated full-window browser with grid/list, filters, sort, and batch actions
- Playback Features — Timeline navigation, speed control, waveforms, and playback modes
- Importing Files — Import 13 audio formats and 4 video formats, including drag & drop
Why Management Matters
Without good organization:
- Recordings become a chaotic mess
- Finding specific content becomes impossible
- Storage space gets wasted on duplicates or unneeded files
- Important recordings get lost
Two Views, One Library
SeaMeet shows the same recordings in two complementary places:
- The sidebar (Chapter 9) is always visible and optimized for quick triage: fuzzy search, rename, play, delete.
- The Media Library (Chapter 10) is a dedicated view for bulk operations: filters, sort, range select, batch delete and export.
Both surfaces use the same underlying recordings, so a rename in the sidebar shows up immediately in the Media Library and vice versa.
