Welcome to SeaMeet
Chapter 1: Welcome to SeaMeet
What is SeaMeet?
Imagine being able to capture any moment on your computer—whether it's an important meeting, a funny video call moment, a tutorial you want to save, or a presentation you need to record. SeaMeet is your personal recording assistant that makes this incredibly simple.
Think of SeaMeet like a smart voice recorder and video camera for your computer. Just as you might use your phone to record a voice memo or take a video, SeaMeet lets you record anything that happens on your computer screen, along with audio from your microphone or the sounds your computer makes.
What Can SeaMeet Do?
SeaMeet can capture:
🔴 Audio Recording
- Your voice through your microphone
- Sounds from your computer (videos, music, meeting audio)
- Both at the same time (perfect for online meetings)
🎥 Video Recording
- Your entire screen (presentations, tutorials)
- Specific application windows (Zoom calls, browser tabs)
- Custom regions of your screen (just the part you need)
⏪ Flashback Recording (Your Time Machine)
- Records continuously in the background
- Capture moments that already happened (up to 2 minutes back)
- Never miss an important moment again
🤖 Auto-Detection
- Automatically detects when you join meetings
- Starts recording without you lifting a finger
- Works with Zoom, Teams, Google Meet, and 40+ other apps
Why Choose SeaMeet?
🎯 Simple to Use No complicated setup. Just open the app, click record, and you're done. If you can use a smartphone camera, you can use SeaMeet.
💾 Saves Everything Locally Your recordings stay on your computer—not in the cloud. This means:
- Complete privacy
- No internet required
- You own your data
- Faster access to files
🛡️ Zero Data Loss — Your Recordings Are Always Safe SeaMeet writes your video and audio to disk continuously and incrementally as you record—not just when you stop. This means:
- If your computer crashes mid-recording, you keep everything captured so far
- No "processing" step that can fail at the end
- Long recordings (multi-hour meetings, all-day sessions) are never at risk
- Even if the app is force-quit, your footage is already safely on disk
This is a fundamental difference from many recording tools that buffer the entire recording in memory and write the file only at the end—meaning a crash can wipe out hours of work. With SeaMeet, once a second of video or audio is recorded, it's saved.
⚡ Lightning Fast Unlike cloud recording services that need to "join" your meeting first, SeaMeet starts instantly. Plus, with Flashback, you can even capture moments from the past!
🌍 Works Everywhere SeaMeet works with any application—Zoom, Teams, Google Meet, Discord, Skype, web browsers, games, and more. If it makes sound or appears on your screen, SeaMeet can record it.
🎨 Beautiful & Modern Clean, intuitive design that works in both light and dark modes. Available in 16 languages.
